TIM DB

TIM DB is a lightweight data version control system for time series. It serves as the data storage and data management base underlying the entire TIM Platform; any operations done with TIM (from REST API integrations to TIM Studio and TIM on Platforms experimentation and operational usage) rely on this same system.

TIM DB receives time-series data that will serve as input for TIM's time series analysis capabilities and stores the observations in an ISO 8601 compliant way, thereby overcoming often-seen issues with working with data across different time zones. A git-like data version control system kicks in when data is being altered and updated as time progresses. Additionally, TIM DB offers data preparation and data transformation functionalities such as different options for data imputation and simple and straightforward timescale switching and aggregation including timestamp alignment.
