Capabilities

Tangent supports two main capabilities, Forecasting and Anomaly Detection. It also offers some additional capabilities that facilitate the analysis of forecasting and anomaly detection types of use cases.

Forecasting

In forecasting, Tangent builds models that are forward looking and extracts features from the data that have predictive value to look a number of timesteps ahead.

Anomaly Detection

In anomaly detection, Tangent builds models that look at the current situation and describes normal behavior of the data. Wherever this calculated normal behavior does not correspond with measured values, anomalies will be flagged based on different perspectives.

Additional Capabilities

The core capabilities of Tangent are surrounded by additional capabilities in pre-and post-processing. These combined with the core capabilities offer an end-to-end solution to extract predictive value out of the data.
