How to Use TIM
TIM can be manipulated through different interfaces. The appropriate interface depends on user’s background and purpose. Currently, three interfaces are supported: TIM’s API, TIM Connector and TIM Studio. Both TIM Connector and TIM Studio rely on TIM’s API underneath.
For users who desire full control over TIM’s modeling parameters, it is recommended to directly use TIM’s API.
TIM Connector is useful for data scientists who do not want to implement TIM’s API directly and want to efficiently perform many experiments. TIM Connector generates the JSON calls needed to use TIM’s API and might therefore be a useful tool for users who wish to better understand how to implement the API.
TIM Studio is recommended for users looking for a more streamlined interface. It provides a greater abstraction from TIM’s technical configuration and thus allows users to distance themselves from underlying mathematics.
